Ambush in Assam killed one
Imphal, August 25 : A civilian was killed and four others were injured in an ambush by Dima Halong Daoga activists in North Cachar Hills in Assam yesterday. The injured included three police personnel. The incident occured when the militants ambushed a police vehicle carrying ration from Haflong to the nearby Dehangi police camp.

Naga Hoho denies AMUCO statement
Imphal, August 24 : The Naga has denied as baseless the statement of RK Anand, advisor of AMUCO that the UCM has started negotiations with the Naga Hoho for suspension of economic blockade on NH 39. The Naga Hoho denied the knowledge of anynegotiation stating that the UCM till date has not responded to the Naga Hoho’s initiative for a dialogue. It termed the statement of Advisor of AMUCO a design to create moe problems to the uncomfortable situation. The Hoho rejected such misinformation stating it may unnecessarily complicate the fragile relationship.
