SDSA
flays Tadubi firing
Imphal,
August 17 : The Senapati District Students’ Association
SDSA, has condemned the firing at pro-ceasefire demonstrators at
Tadubi allegedly by one Captain KK Sharma and his team of 3
Assam Rifles personnel, calling it a barbaric act aimed at
suppressing the rights of the Nagas. A release said the
demonstration on August 14 was for peace and in support of Naga
solidarity and peace process. It called upon the authorities of
the administration and security forces to take precautionary and
preventive measures so that such acts are not repeated. The
release said such acts will not help accelerate the peace
process at all and will in fact lead to more communal tension.
The association called for appropriate punishment to the
perpetrator of the act.
