Heigru Hidongba festival Imphal August 29: Heigru Hidongba, an annual festival for
ushering in prosperity to the land and people was held today at
Imphal alongwith the ritual boat race at the Bijoygovinda
Thangapat on the New Cachar Road.
The boat race in traditional dress was flagged off by the state
Governor Ved Marwah.
