The
territories of Manipur extended far and wide. However,
no attempt has been made so far to write a book on the
boundaries of this State. The present work has been made
to fill up this gap. The book, therefore, describes a
connected narrative of the boundaries of Manipur. The
work is based mainly on my Thesis for the Degree of
Doctor of Philosophy.
I
take this opportunity of expressing my obligations to
Rajkumari Miss Ahalyashanti Devi and Rajkumari Miss
Ratankumari Devi who have kindly helped me in preparing
the manuscript.
